We will bill you for the month ahead based upon the schedule that has mutually been decided. Payment is due 15 days after being sent to your email. If we have not received payment 15 days after being sent, we will add an additional 10% of the total amount to your invoice which is due immediately before any other tutoring can take place.
Invoices will be sent to your email from QuickBooks. You pay online via ACH.
We do NOT accept credit cards/PayPal/Venmo/Zelle
Hourly rates:
$90/hr individual tutoring & consulting
$120/hr for two students at one time in a small group
Additional $12 per hour for each additional student in a small group
You are committed to the time and day that is agreed upon by you and your tutor. You must commit to and pay for a minimum of 3 sessions per month for the agreed upon time slot. If you cannot meet all 3 sessions, you are still responsible for paying for a minimum of 3 sessions, regardless of whether they take place.
Although we give leeway for the extra week(s), we expect that we will usually meet all weeks of the month. If a client continually books three times a month, we reserve the right to end service.
We require 24 hours’ notice for ANY cancellations for both in-person and remote sessions. Should you need to cancel, please email both Karmin/Meghan at mathletesandbookworms@gmail.com andCC your tutor on the email. Please make sure you email both parties on one email.
Because we know emergencies occur (on both of our ends), we allow for one “free” last minute cancellation between Monday, August 26, 2024-December 31, 2024 and another during January 1, 2025-May 31, 2025. . Should a second cancellation occur less than 24 hours within the time window, we will charge for that session. If your tutor cancels a second time within the time window less than 24 hours notice, we will owe you a free session.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length. The last 10 minutes are reserved for review and discussion with the parent(s) and/or student. If parents are not available for review at the end of the session, tutors will ensure they use that 10 minutes to email/call parents at another time.
Additional Teacher/Parent/Advisory meetings/phone calls that take place outside the 60 minute tutoring window will be billed in 15 minute increments at the hourly rate mentioned above.
